Q: Do you provide round trip transportation?
A: we have two minibuses.

Q: Do you have facilities for bathing and hair washing?
A: Yes we have full disabled bathroom Facilities

Q: Are your staff fully qualified?
A: All our staff are fully qualified in health and social care and are CRB checked with the Criminal Record Bureau and the Independent Safeguarding Authority. We ensure that all staff are up-to-date with their regular mandatory training, such as first aid, manual handling, health & safety, protection of vulnerable adults, food & basic hygiene & medication.

Q: Who is the owner or sponsoring agency?
A: The Day centre is owned and run by O.C.S Care Agency

Q: How long have you been running?
A: Our Day centre was established in 2000

Q: What is the capacity of your day care centre?
A: 16 per day

Q: What is expected from me?
A: Give us at least 24hrs of non attendance

Q: What activities are arranged?
A: Clients take part in many arranged activities such as music, reminiscence and gentle exercise. Learn or re-learn daily living skills such as cooking and laundry, receive help with personal care and go on occasional day trips.

Q: When are you open?
A: The centre is open 10:00 – 4:00 Monday to Friday. We only close on Bank Holidays and over the Christmas period.

Q: Can you deal with medical conditions like dementia or incontinence?
A: Staff are trained to be sensitive to the needs of these older people and are trained in rehabilitation, dementia care and provide support for people with sensory impairment.

Q: Are there special charges for meals or transportation?
A: No we charge a flat rate.

Q: Is financial assistance available?
A: Financial help maybe available through social service.

Q: Does the adult day care centre also provide respite care?
A:  Yes, we provide short term respite.


About Us

The purpose of our day centre service is to help prevent social isolation and the feeling of loneliness, and to reduce the social interaction difficulties which older persons tend to encounter.
