Our aim of the centre is to supply Day Care for people who have a physical disability or sensory impairment.
All our staff are fully qualified in health and social care and are CRB checked with the Criminal Record Bureau and the Independent Safeguarding Authority. We ensure that all staff are up-to-date with their regular mandatory training, such as first aid, manual handling, health & safety, protection of vulnerable adults, food & basic hygiene & medication.
The purpose of the day centre service is to help prevent social isolation and the feeling of loneliness, and to reduce the social interaction difficulties which older persons tend to encounter. It also aims to motivate the elderly by encouraging them to participate in the planning of day centre activities, by enabling older persons and persons with disabilities to remain as independent and socially integrated as possible it also provides respite for their relatives and carers.
Our standard day service offers a range of daytime activities including, lunch and door-to-door transport. This is available Monday to Friday inclusive. The centre closes only on Bank Holidays and over the Christmas period.
Day care is available to adults who are;
- Physically frail
- Socially isolated
- Dementia or Mental health problems
- Physical, Sensory or Learning disability
Client referrals come from two sources:
1. Clients who meet social services day care assessment requirements.
